The World of Thoss

The World of Thoss

Thoss is a Planet located in a group of stars usually designated M79, and is very far from Earth.  No one ever set out to go there, since it doesn't fit the long range description of an M class prefered planet.  It's hollow and large, having about .89 gravity.  It has two moons which cause a variation in the length of its year; of about two days.  It exists in a part of its galaxy which defies explanation, since a power source must exist for the odd spacetime effects, but it can't be located.  The world itself seems to have an atmosphere, and it even appears to be Oxygen/Nitrogen, but it also has some indications of 'other things'.  It's official designation is 'Anomaly' and it would be avoided even if anyone ever went that far from earth.
In the not too distant future, when the problems with Warp Drive and LENR  have been resolved, and there's a method of cleaning and recycling almost everything needed for life, not to mention processes that allow the creation of synthetic protein and Carbohydrates, it became too artificial for some of the folks on Earth.   The decided to go out and find a planet where they could live more in Harmony with nature, and they each had mythical ideas.  They were the lovers of Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, and the Small folk who lived in tunnels, or holes.  They yearned for a magical existence, and wanted to build something they could use to make life more of a fantasy.  Since that was silly and impossible, no one paid much attention to their journey.  That's why it was over a century before anyone discovered the stable wormhole that they had stumbled through.  They had a rough time after they left the Wormhole, but we'll talk more about them later.

For now, it's enough to know that they went back in time a few thousand years when they passed through the wormhole, and eventually ended up on Thoss.

Now on to the story, it will unfold eventually, I promise.
